I’m Andreas Krätschmer!
Video editor, director of photography, director, wood-turner, artist … these are some of the hats I regularly wear. I definitely love a good selection of hats. But only the figurative type. My head likes it topless.
So now that you know about the clothing preferences of my cranium you might want to know a bit more about myself and what I do. You’re in the right place. Below you’ll find further info on my TV/film work and my artistic practice.
For over 15 years now I have been working as professional editor, DoP and director, on projects in English, French and German.
My passion lies in visual storytelling and real-life stories, with documentary having a special place in my heart.

In 2013 I went to a cabinet-making school in Montreal to further pursue my passion for creating with wood. There I was introduced to wood-turning. After a brief venture into furniture making I decided to concentrate on wood-turning as my main form of artistic expression with wood.
